TGO Carbon Footprint Certification, with nothing hidden.
The process steps, the 2026 committee-round dates, the fee stack, the current calculation workbooks — the facts every buyer needs sit in TGO infographics and QR-linked PDFs that search engines can’t read. We publish them here in both languages, and we run the part that decides your outcome: an inventory built right the first time, disclosed in Thai for the SEC and in English for the raters.

The committee-round calendar.
TGO approves certifications in board rounds. Miss the document deadline and you wait for the next round — plan backwards from these dates. Verified from TGO’s meeting-schedule page; we update this table as TGO posts new rounds.
| Round (พ.ศ. 2569) | Documents due | Board meeting | Results announced | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Round 1 | 23 March 2026 | 9 April 2026 | 22 April 2026 | Passed |
| Round 3 | 24 July 2026 | 11 August 2026 | 19 August 2026 | Docs due in days |
| Later 2026 rounds | TGO schedules further rounds through Q4 (historically ~6/year — October and December board dates have been announced in prior communications). Confirm on TGO’s meeting-schedule page — we track it and update this row. | Upcoming | ||
Working the calendar: verification must be COMPLETE and the mark application filed at least a month before the round — so a company starting its inventory today is realistically building for a Q4 2026 or Q1 2027 round, in time for the March One Report filing wave.
Six steps, honestly timed.
Straight from TGO’s official process — the version published as an image, transcribed here so you can actually plan against it.
- 13–6 months
Calculate the footprint
Build the GHG inventory — in-house or with a consultant (TGO’s words: ด้วยตนเอง หรือใช้ที่ปรึกษา) — on TGO’s official templates, using the current AR5 emission-factor set (Jan/Feb 2026) and GHG-inventory workbook Version 7 (2026). This is where engagements are won or lost: a clean, methodology-tagged inventory sails through verification; a loose one burns weeks in corrections.
- 2~1 month
Independent third-party verification
An accredited verification body — a different company from your consultant, by rule — runs document review, a site inspection and a check-and-correct pass (typically a day each) and submits the result to TGO.
- 3≥1 month before the round
Apply to use the mark
File the online application and pay TGO’s fee (invoice link arrives within 1–3 working days; proof of payment required). Applications land in a specific committee round — see the calendar above.
- 4Staff review
TGO reviews the file
Completeness and conformity check by TGO officers ahead of the committee.
- 5Round date
Subcommittee screening → Board approval
The Carbon Label subcommittee screens (กลั่นกรอง), the TGO Board approves (อนุมัติ) at the round’s board meeting.
- 6Within 14 working days
Contract & certificate issued
Results announced on the board date; certificate and mark-use contract follow within 14 working days. CFO renews annually; CFP holds for three years.
What it costs — all three layers.
Most providers publish nothing. Here is the anatomy: TGO’s registration fee (published for CFP, tabled below verbatim), the verifier’s fee (quoted per working day by accredited bodies), and the consultant’s fee (the few published market anchors run ~75,000–100,000 THB for a single-site organisation). We quote fixed and scoped — within one business hour.
| CFP products registered | TGO fee (THB, ex-VAT) |
|---|---|
| 1 product | 8,500 (9,095 incl. 7% VAT) |
| 2 products | 17,000 |
| 3–5 products | 20,400 |
| 6–10 products | 30,000 |
| 11–20 products | 42,000 |
| 21–40 products | 56,000 |
| 41–60 products | 72,500 |
| 61–80 products | 85,000 |
| 81–100 products | 96,000 |
| 100+ products | 110,000 (lump sum) |
Reading the fee stack
TGO registration — the table left is TGO’s published CFP schedule, re-confirmed against the current fee PDF (July 2026). The CFO mark fee sits in TGO’s fee-schedule document rather than on any web page — ask us and we’ll walk you through the current figure for your case.
Verification — accredited bodies quote by working days; a single-site CFO verification is typically a three-day exercise (document review, site visit, corrections).
Preparation — the layer Othello runs. Scope depends on sites, sources and data maturity; we return a fixed quote in one business hour, under NDA, benchmarked honestly against the market anchors above.

Why nobody may consult and verify your footprint.
The independence rule, verbatim
TGO’s scheme separates the two roles by design: verification may only be performed by legal entities accredited under a system recognised by the International Accreditation Forum or Thailand’s National Standardization Council (ISO 14065-aligned) — and the verifier must be a different company from the consultant, in a different product group, with the verifier’s name absent from that client’s consultant list. TGO also expressly disclaims any guarantee that a registered consultant can prepare a footprint correctly — registration is an entry list, not a quality badge.
What that means when you buy: any “one-stop” pitch that implies the same firm will prepare and certify your footprint is misreading the scheme. Honest end-to-end looks like this — one bench prepares the inventory and the bilingual disclosure to verification-ready standard, an independent accredited verification body (TGO lists ~22) verifies it, and your preparer manages the handoff and the round submission. That is exactly how Othello runs it: we take one side of the line per engagement, and we tell you where the line is.
The market context, from our July 2026 analysis of TGO’s public registry: 1,219 organisations hold valid CFO certification nationally (up 71% in 18 months) — yet only 194 of the ~940 listed companies we track hold a current certificate, and 52 more lapsed within the year. TGO’s own register lists 387 registered individual consultants, overwhelmingly LCA and engineering practices. Capacity exists; what the market lacks is preparation coupled with investor-grade bilingual disclosure — the part that turns a certificate into score and credibility.
Two marks, two jobs.

Straight answers.
01Can one firm consult on our footprint and also verify it?+
No — and any provider implying otherwise is misreading the scheme. TGO requires the verifier to be a different company from the consultant, and CFO verification may only be performed by legal entities accredited under a system recognised by the International Accreditation Forum or Thailand’s National Standardization Council, per TGO’s ISO 14065-aligned regime. Othello therefore takes one side per engagement: we prepare your inventory and disclosure to be verification-ready, then hand off cleanly to an independent accredited verification body and manage the round submission.
02How long does TGO CFO certification actually take?+
Working from TGO’s own published process: footprint calculation 3–6 months (in-house or with a consultant), third-party verification about 1 month (document review, site inspection and a check-and-correct pass — typically a day each), the mark application at least 1 month before a committee round, then approval at the round itself, with the contract and certificate issued within 14 working days of the board date. Realistically: 5–8 months end-to-end — which is why the buying season for a Q1 One Report runs Q3–Q4 of the year before.
03What does certification cost?+
Three separate costs, only one of which TGO publishes on a web page: (1) TGO’s registration fee — for CFP it is 8,500 THB per product excluding VAT with volume tiers; the CFO mark fee sits in TGO’s fee-schedule PDF; (2) the verifier’s fee — quoted by accredited bodies per working day; and (3) the consultant’s fee — unpublished by most firms; the few published market anchors run roughly 75,000–100,000 THB for a single-site organisation. Othello returns a fixed, scoped quote within one business hour — send us your site count and reporting boundary.
04CFO or CFP — which one do we need?+
CFO (Carbon Footprint for Organization, ISO 14064-1:2018) measures the whole organisation’s annual Scope 1–2 (and material Scope 3) emissions — it is what feeds your 56-1 One Report, TSRS/IFRS S2 readiness, CDP and ratings. CFP (Carbon Footprint of Product, ISO 14067 with ISO 14040/14044 LCA) measures one product’s lifecycle emissions — it is what supports product labelling, green procurement eligibility and CBAM data for EU-bound exports. Exporters facing both investor disclosure and CBAM typically need both; they can be scoped together.
05How long is certification valid?+
CFO runs on an annual cycle — the certification is tied to a single reporting year and is re-certified yearly. CFP is valid for three years. (Validity terms live in TGO’s criteria documents; confirm the current clause for your application round — we track these as they update.) The practical consequence: CFO is a standing annual programme, not a one-off project — budget and calendar it like an audit.
06Does a TGO CFO satisfy the new TSRS assurance requirement?+
Thailand’s ISSB-aligned rollout has been communicated with limited assurance on Scope 1–2 phasing in from the largest issuers — with the TGO CFO method accepted for the first five years, which makes CFO certification the natural first verification step for most Thai listed companies. Final notifications were still pending gazettal at our last review — treat dates as planning guidance and check the current SEC notification for your filing year.
