Why claim wording is now a compliance surface

Sustainability claims are no longer marketing copy — they are regulated statements. The EU’s greenwashing enforcement wave, the SEC’s scrutiny of fund and issuer claims, and the move to FTSE Russell scoring of public disclosure all point the same direction: vague, absolute or unverifiable environmental language ("eco-friendly", "carbon neutral", "100% sustainable") now carries enforcement, rating and investor-relations risk in both of a Thai company’s languages.

This checker flags the three failure classes we see most in Thai disclosure: absolute claims without evidence (net-zero pledges with no pathway, "green" products with no certification), vague qualifiers that regulators treat as misleading, and — the uniquely bilingual failure — EN↔TH drift, where the Thai claim and its English rendering assert different things.
