Twenty credentials. One honest register.
Five examined firm-level credentials — ISO 17100, ATA, ATC, GDPR, PDPA — plus fifteen bench practitioner credentials held by named team members across three domains: Climate & GHG Assurance (7), Reporting Frameworks (3), EU & Cross-Border Disclosure (5). Every credential listed below links to its substantive detail page where shipped. Other Bangkok ESG and translation firms hold one or two of these. Othello holds twenty. Every credential is verifiable at procurement stage on the issuing body’s own registry — with certificate copies and credential-holder identifiers available under mutual NDA. The bench fills the gap. The credentials prove it.

Five credentials examined or registered with independent bodies.
Firm-level credentials certify how Othello as a firm operates — the process discipline, vetting, accountability, and data-protection posture that runs every engagement. Each is independently registered or examined with the issuing body; certificate copies and registry references available under mutual NDA. The five firm-level credentials are what an in-house counsel checks first, before any individual practitioner credential is reviewed.
ISO 17100 + ISO 9001.
The two paired ISO standards that govern the firm’s translation production workflow — 17100 sets translator qualification, revision, project management, and customer-feedback requirements; 9001 sets the underlying quality-management system. Together they encode the FAR-grade contractor discipline established on US Government bilingual contracts from 2020 onward. Verifiable on the certification body’s registry; certificate scans on request under NDA.
Open ISO 17100 + 9001 detailATA affiliation.
The US market’s authoritative professional body for certified translation. ATA-Certified translators on the bench produce attested translations that USCIS, US courts, and US federal agencies accept. Anchors the firm’s US Government bilingual contracting history. The detail page documents how the credential operates in Thai/English certified-translation engagements, including the Thai §103.2(b)(3) gap and the ATA-certified workaround.
Open ATA detailATC membership.
UK-based, company-level language services association whose membership signals adherence to ATC’s Code of Professional Conduct and quality standards. Most ATCs require ISO 17100 alignment; ATC membership is the UK-market visible badge for translation firms. The detail page explains how ATC affiliation operates alongside ISO 17100 + 9001 for UK-government-adjacent translation engagements.
Open ATC detailGDPR processor posture.
The firm’s documented processor-side GDPR compliance posture — controller-processor agreements, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for cross-border transfer, Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA) workflow, and Data Processing Agreement (DPA) templates. Engaged where Thai or US clients have EU data-subject exposure (employees, customers, or supply-chain). The detail page documents the SCCs + TIA + DPA stack in full.
Open GDPR detailPDPA home regime.
Thailand’s domestic data protection regime — structurally aligned with GDPR but with Thai-specific consent, notice, breach-notification, and DPO requirements. The firm’s home-jurisdiction data discipline. Every engagement that touches Thai personal data runs under PDPA; cross-border engagements add GDPR or sectoral overlays on top. The detail page documents both standalone PDPA workflow and the PDPA+GDPR pairing for Thai entities with EU exposure.
Open PDPA detail★ FIRM-LEVEL ANSWERS THE FIRST QUESTION · In-house counsel reviewing a vendor for the first time checks firm-level credentials before evaluating individual practitioner credentials. The five above answer: How does this firm certify its work? What’s the data handling? What’s the certification body backing? Has the firm been examined or affiliated by an independent body? Othello’s five firm-level credentials are designed to clear that first-question hurdle in one document review — before bench practitioner credentials even need to be discussed.
Fifteen individual credentials. Held by named bench members.
Where the firm-level credentials cover process, certified translation, and data protection, the bench practitioner credentials cover ESG advisory and assurance — the substantive backing for every climate, carbon, and sustainability-disclosure engagement. Other Bangkok firms hold one or two; Othello holds fifteen. Each is independently verifiable at procurement stage under mutual NDA. See Named Bench for credential-holder profiles.

Detail page pending★ FIFTEEN, NOT ONE OR TWO · Most Bangkok ESG and translation firms hold one or two bench-level credentials — typically GRI or a single ISO 14064 reference. Othello holds fifteen, named to specific bench members, with seven of them concentrated in Panit Chancharoonpong’s specialist ESG-assurance cluster. The configuration is what makes Othello’s offer different in kind — not a generalist consultancy with one named partner credential, but a bench-anchored firm with credentials concentrated where the work actually happens.
How to verify, by credential category. Six routes, all independent.
Every credential on this page is independently verifiable — on the issuing body’s own registry, public database, or members directory. Othello provides certificate copies and credential-holder identifiers under mutual NDA, but procurement should check the issuing body first as the primary verification route. The chain is direct: issuing body issues, issuing body publishes, no third-party intermediary required.
How to verify Othello’s 20 credentials in under an hour. Six independent routes.
The six categories below cover every credential on the register. Most checks take under five minutes per credential — the issuing bodies have prioritised public verification as the integrity signal. NDA-protected materials (certificate copies, internal training records) are supplementary, not primary; the primary route is always the registry.
★ REGISTRY FIRST, NDA SECOND · The honest verification route is always the issuing body’s own registry first; NDA-protected internal materials supplement that, never substitute for it. If a credential cannot be verified on a public-facing issuing-body registry, it should be treated with suspicion regardless of how impressive the certificate looks. Othello’s 20 credentials all clear that bar.
Twenty credentials. Three practice areas. One bench.
The credentials are not ornaments — they back specific engagements. ESG advisory, technical translation, and compliance / data-protection work each draw on the credential register in a different way. The three practice areas below show how the credentials operate together. One engagement letter; one credential register; one audit-trail.

Open ComplianceProcurement questions answered up front.
Substantive answers to what in-house counsel, procurement panels, ESG audit teams, and SET-listed corporate IR teams routinely ask when reviewing Othello’s full credential register.
Q.01Why distinguish firm-level from bench practitioner credentials?
They certify different things and answer different receiving authorities. Firm-level credentials (ISO 17100, ATA, ATC, GDPR, PDPA) certify how the firm operates: process discipline, vetting, accountability, insurance, data handling. Bench practitioner credentials (AA1000AS, ISO 14064, GRI, IFRS S1/S2, FTSE, TGO, Verra, CORSIA, ICVCM, ISCC PLUS, CSRD/ESRS, CBAM, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, SBTi) certify the individual specialist doing the substantive ESG work. An assurance reader trusts the AA1000AS practitioner; a USCIS adjudicator trusts the ATA-certified translator. Both matter; they answer different questions.
Q.02How can a procurement team verify these credentials without going through Othello?
Every credential is verifiable on the issuing body’s own registry. ATA — the ATA Directory; ATC — the ATC Member Directory; AA1000AS — AccountAbility’s Licensed Practitioner registry; ISO 14064 Lead Auditor — the CQI/IRCA register; GRI — FTPI’s Certified Training Partner record at globalreporting.org; TGO — the Thai Carbon Label authorised verifier list; Verra — the Verra Registry; CORSIA — ICAO’s published EEU programmes list; ICVCM — the CCP-Eligible programs and approved categories list; ISCC — the iscc-system.org public database. Othello provides certificate copies and credential-holder identifiers under mutual NDA — same NDA that runs from first email on every engagement.
Q.03Does Othello hold AA1000AS, the same standard PTT and Central Retail use?
Yes — AA1000AS v3 ACSAP, held by Panit Chancharoonpong, certified by AccountAbility in June 2024. ACSAP is the Associate Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner credential, the practitioner certification for AA1000AS v3 Type 1 and Type 2 sustainability information assurance — the same standard PTT, Central Retail, Hongsa Power, and other SET-listed corporates use for their assured ESG reports. Most Bangkok ESG boutiques do not have an in-house AA1000AS-certified practitioner; Othello does, and the credential is registry-verifiable on AccountAbility’s Licensed Practitioner list. See /certifications/aa1000as/.
Q.04Why does the firm have seven climate & GHG assurance credentials concentrated in one person?
Because climate and carbon assurance work spans seven overlapping standards that benefit from being held by one practitioner on one CV. Panit Chancharoonpong holds AA1000AS (principles overlay), ISO 14064 (international GHG verification), TGO CFO+CFP (Thai national authority), Verra (voluntary carbon), CORSIA (aviation compliance), ICVCM (integrity threshold), and ISCC PLUS (bioeconomy + circular materials). The configuration lets Othello scope multi-standard engagements under one engagement letter — for example, a Thai T-VER project bound for CORSIA airline use, with a CCP integrity overlay and ISO 14064 technical floor, can be assessed by one practitioner working under one bench discipline. Most consultancies require multiple subcontractor relationships to cover this footprint; Othello does not.
Q.05What does “honest scope” mean on credentials like ICVCM, ISCC PLUS, and GRI?
Several credentialling bodies do not issue individual practitioner credentials directly. ICVCM certifies programs and methodology categories, not auditors. ISCC certifies sites and supply chains, not auditors. GRI’s Certified Training Partner status sits with the CTP organisation (FTPI in Thailand), not with individual trainees. Othello documents these credentials as “applied competence” at the audit or engagement stage, not as practitioner certifications conferred by the body. The detail pages explicitly state this scope. Verification routes accordingly: ICVCM and ISCC certificates are verifiable on the issuing body’s registry (for programs / sites); GRI competence is verifiable via FTPI’s training record and FTPI’s CTP status at globalreporting.org. What Othello does not do: claim ICVCM-conferred, ISCC-conferred, or GRI-conferred practitioner status. Each credential page explicitly disclaims overclaiming.
Q.06How does Othello handle independence between consultative work and external assurance?
Through strict separation of engagement letters and practitioners. Consultative work (helping a client prepare a GRI report, a Verra project description, an ISCC PLUS chain-of-custody system) is one engagement letter, anchored by the relevant consultative practitioner. Independent assurance work (AA1000AS Type 1 / Type 2 assurance on a published report, ISO 14064-3 verification on submitted GHG data, ISAE 3000 assurance on sustainability information) is a separately-scoped engagement, by separate practitioners, under a different engagement letter, never anchored by the same individual who did the consultative work. The separation preserves independence per the underlying assurance standards’ requirements; clients commonly engage Othello for both, but never via the same engagement letter and never with the same practitioner anchoring both sides.
Q.07What credentials matter most for Thai SET-listed corporate disclosure?
The Thai SEC’s mandatory IFRS S1/S2 adoption from 2026 changes the calculus. For a SET-listed corporate’s 2026+ disclosure stack, the critical credentials are: GRI 2021 (the implicit shape of 56-1 One Report sustainability sections), IFRS S1/S2 (the new mandatory financial-materiality climate disclosure), TGO CFO+CFP Auditor (the Thai national carbon-footprint authority), ISO 14064 Lead Auditor (the international GHG verification floor under TGO and most assurance), AA1000AS v3 ACSAP (the assurance overlay for the published report), and FTSE Russell ESG Scores methodology (for the SET ESG Index 2026 transition). Othello holds all six. The configuration lets a SET-listed corporate prepare 56-1 One Report + IFRS S2 disclosure + FTSE-ready ESG data + assured ESG report all under one bench.
Q.08How long does it take to verify Othello’s full credential register?
Approximately one hour, end-to-end, for procurement to verify all 20 credentials on issuing-body registries. Each credential takes 2-5 minutes of registry-search time once the relevant body is identified. The six verification routes in §03 above map every credential to its primary verification source. For NDA-protected materials — certificate copies, internal training records, accreditation chain documentation — Othello provides these within 1 business day of mutual NDA execution, alongside the relevant credential-holder profile. Most procurement panels find the registry-first approach faster than the NDA route, which is the design — independent verification of credentials is faster than negotiating NDAs.
Q.09Which credentials are currently detailed and which detail pages are pending?
13 of 20 detail pages are live as of this publication: all 5 firm-level credentials, all 7 Climate & GHG Assurance bench credentials (Panit anchor), and 1 of 3 Reporting Frameworks (GRI 2021). 7 detail pages are pending: IFRS S1/S2, FTSE Russell ESG Scores, CSRD/ESRS, CBAM, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, SBTi. The register section above shows live (★) vs pending (·) status for each credential. Detail pages for pending credentials will be published in priority order, anchored by the relevant bench member (Kittichai for IFRS / FTSE; Nataree for the EU & Cross-Border cluster). The pending status does not affect credential verification — all 20 credentials are verifiable on issuing-body registries today, regardless of whether the detail page is shipped.
Q.10How does the full credential register fit Othello’s engagement framework?
The full credential register is the substantive backing for every engagement. Founded 2020 on US Government bilingual contracts under FAR-grade contractor verification, the firm’s procurement-grade audit-trail standard applies the same way to a 56-1 One Report sustainability section, a USCIS-grade certified translation, a Verra project verification, or a GDPR Data Processing Agreement. The credentials are not marketing decoration — they are how the work is scoped, priced, and assured. Engagement letters reference the credentials that back the specific work; audit-trail files document which credentialled practitioner did what; verification routes ensure the chain is transparent end-to-end. One engagement letter, one NDA from first email, one audit-trail Bangkok-side, twenty credentials behind it. Email [email protected] or call +66 02-859-2145.
