About the Academy.
01How is the Academy different from SET’s free ESG courses or a GRI/TGO certificate?+
It sits on top of them. SET’s C-ESG, TGO’s CFO/CFP and GRI training teach you what to disclose and how to calculate it — mostly in Thai, and they do it well. The Othello Academy teaches the one thing none of them cover: how to write and translate that disclosure so it reads correctly in Thai for the SEC and scores in English for FTSE Russell, MSCI and global investors. We complement your SET/TGO/GRI learning, we don’t replace it.
02Who is it for?+
The people who own disclosure at SET-listed companies: Investor Relations officers, Heads of Sustainability, Company Secretaries, CFO-office staff, and sustainability and reporting analysts — from SET50/100 through mai. Courses are tagged by role so you can pick what fits. It is equally useful whether English is your team’s first language or not; the focus is investor-grade disclosure quality, not general English.
03Do I get a certificate, and does it count for CPD?+
Yes — you receive a certificate of completion from Othello International, backed by our ISO 17100 certified-translation accreditation. Several courses are designed to count toward continuing professional development where your professional body recognises external training (for example, FAP “other” CPD hours for accounting professionals) — confirm eligibility with your own body. We are transparent that this is an industry certificate and a readiness outcome, not a government licence.
04Is it in Thai or English?+
Bilingual — that is the entire point. Sessions are taught in Thai where that is clearer, the working material and the disclosure you produce are in English, and the whole discipline is about moving accurately between the two. It is the only training in Thailand built specifically around Thai⇄English ESG disclosure quality.
